Statistics Division
The Statistics Division is one of the key divisions within the Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul. It plays a central role in supporting planning and decision-making processes by providing accurate, reliable, and up-to-date statistical data and information covering various academic, administrative, and scientific aspects of the University.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Statistics Division
1. Preparation and Standardization of University Statistics
- Collecting data and statistics from all colleges, centers, departments, and academic and administrative units of the University of Mosul.
- Standardizing statistical reporting mechanisms and forms submitted by the University’s various units.
- Verifying and reviewing data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and the absence of duplication or discrepancies.
- Preparing the annual University statistical report in accordance with the tables and forms approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Providing the Ministry with the required statistical reports and tables within the specified deadlines.
- Periodically updating data to ensure the availability of current and reliable information for planning and decision-making.
2. Statistics on Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students
The Division prepares and monitors statistical indicators related to the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate students, including:
- Number of admitted students.
- Number of currently enrolled and continuing students.
- Number of successful students.
- Number of students who have failed.
- Number of students granted academic deferments.
- Number of students who have withdrawn or discontinued their studies.
- Number of transferred students.
- Distribution of students by college, department, specialization, gender, and mode of study.
