Regional Studies Center/Continuing Education Unit participated, through organizing the attendance of its researchers, in a scientific workshop entitled “Horizon Europe E-Training”, in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul/Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development Unit and the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, on 8 October 2026. The workshop aimed to familiarize researchers with European funding opportunities, mechanisms for preparing research proposals, and building partnerships and international cooperation.
The workshop addressed topics related to funding opportunities, the preparation and submission of research proposals, and enhancing the participation of Iraqi researchers and universities in European Union programs, thereby contributing to the development of cooperation with European and international universities and research institutions.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of benefiting from the available training programs and opportunities, contributing to the achievement of SDG 4: Quality Education; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
