The Remote Sensing Center Receives the Ministerial Committee for the Evaluation of Research Centers

On Monday, 9 February 2026, the Remote Sensing Center received the ministerial committee responsible for evaluating research centers, as part of the program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to monitor and assess the scientific and research performance of research centers.
The committee was received by the Director of the Remote Sensing Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Ramzi Qabaa, along with the heads of departments. The Center Director delivered a brief presentation highlighting the Center’s key activities, research plans, and projects submitted to provincial institutions, in addition to outlining the challenges facing the work of research centers. He emphasized the Center’s role in supporting scientific and applied research and serving the community.
The visit included a tour of the Center’s facilities to review its laboratories, units, and scientific divisions, as well as the Center’s library. During the visit, the available research capabilities and infrastructure were evaluated, and the status of scientific and research activities was reviewed.
This visit comes within the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop the performance of research centers and enhance their standards in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements.
