Remote Sensing Center Holds a Training Course on Financial and Administrative Corruption for Nineveh Governorate Departments

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Ramzi Quba, Director of the Remote Sensing Center, and within the framework of Continuing Education activities, the Remote Sensing Center organized a specialized training course entitled “Financial and Administrative Corruption” in cooperation with the Nineveh Governorate Office / Skills Development Department. The course was held from 8–12 February 2026 as part of the Center’s program aimed at promoting integrity, transparency, and institutional accountability.
The course sought to clarify the conceptual and legal framework of financial and administrative corruption, analyze its structural causes and socio-economic impacts, and review prevention and mitigation mechanisms in accordance with applicable legislation, internal control systems, and principles of good governance. It also addressed strategies for safeguarding public funds, enhancing institutional compliance, and improving administrative performance efficiency.

It is noteworthy that the number of participants exceeded 100 attendees representing various governorate departments.
At the conclusion of the course, emphasis was placed on the importance of sustaining such specialized programs, given their fundamental role in supporting administrative reform and fostering a work environment grounded in transparency and institutional efficiency.
