The Director of the Remote Sensing Center at the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Ramzi Qubba, took part in a ministerial committee formed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research during a field visit to the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The visit aimed to follow up on the procedures for formalizing the establishment of the center ضمن the Ministry’s plan to evaluate and support research centers.

The committee included representatives from several Iraqi universities, including the Technical University. During the visit, the committee reviewed the operational status of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center, as well as its scientific and technical capabilities, research activities, and areas of specialization.

The visit also involved discussions on the administrative and academic procedures required for approving the establishment of the center, in alignment with the standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the aim of strengthening the role of research centers in advancing scientific research and serving the community
