The scientific bid of the College of Science continues, as the Department of Biophysics, under the supervision of the Faculty Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taii, held a scientific workshop entitled “Antibiotics … Importance and Use” on Thursday evening 15 April 2021, an electronic scientific workshop given by Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Zaki Al-Haso.The workshop dealt with an introduction to antibiotics, their importance and role in treating bacterial infections and their epidemics, mechanisms of action of antibiotics and the structures that target them in the bacterial cell, as well as the problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics and what they represent of a global threat facing the use of antibiotics therapeutically with the increasing spread of strains with Multiple resistanceand the most important resistance mechanisms used by bacteria, the role of wrong practices, uncontrolled use of antibiotics, and the role of veterinary drugs in increasing the spread of bacterial resistance to antibiotics was also addressed. The importance of community awareness of rationalizing and restricting the use of antibiotics was also emphasized. The workshop was attended by a large number of specialists and others from various Iraqi governorates as well as from some Arab sister countries.المضادات الحيوية.. ألاهمية والاستخداميستمر العطاء العلمي لكلية العلوم.حيث اقامت كلية العلوم /قسم الفيزياء الحياتية وباشراف السيدة عميد كلية العلوم الاستاذ المساعد الدكتورة هيام عادل الطائي ورشة علمية بعنوان المضادات الحيوية.. ألاهمية والاستخدام مساء الخميس ١٥/٤/٢٠٢١ ورشة علمية الكترونية القاها الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور محمود زكي الحسو ….تناولت الورشة تعريفا بالمضادات الحيوية وأهميتها ودورها في علاج الالتهابات البكتيرية والأوبئة الناجمة عنها وآليات عمل المضادات والتراكيب التي تستهدفها في الخلية البكتيرية ، كما تطرقت الى مشكلة المقاومة البكتيرية للمضادات وما تمثله من تهديد عالمي يواجه استخدام المضادات علاجياً مع تزايد انتشار السلالات متعددة المقاومة ، وأهم آليات المقاومة المستخدمة من قبل البكتريا كما تم التطرق الى دور الممارسات الخاطئة والاستخدام غير المنضبط للمضادات ودور العقاقير البيطرية في زيادة انتشار المقاومة البكتيرية للمضادات ، كما تم التاكيد على أهمية التوعية المجتمعية بترشيد وتقييد استخدام المضادات الحيوية… حضر الورشة عدد كبير من ذوي الاختصاص وغيرهم من مختلف المحافظات العراقية وكذلك من بعض البلدان العربية الشقيقة.
