Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Kossay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmady, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taii, the Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Central Orphan Sponsorship Committee at the University of Mosul, was established under the slogan “Teach him to fish instead of giving him fish” in the Department of Biology A cultural and scientific festival on the morning of Tuesday, March 22, 2022, and it will last for three days. It was inaugurated by the Administrative Assistant, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, on behalf of the President of Mosul University. The festival included student activities and contributions by lecturers and other community activities and included several pavilions (pavilion of paintings, drawings, pavilion of handicrafts, accessories, engraving and calligraphy on wood and plastic, weaving and garments crochet, solar energy pavilion, honey and bee products pavilion, cake corner pavilion The medical wing with various examinations, the ornamental plants wing of the nursery, the electronics wing, the essential oils wing, the books wing, the stationery wing, the conductive and popular foods wing (with the support of Asia Cell Communications Company. All departments of the College of Science, including lecturers and students, participated in this festival, and the proceeds go to needy families, widows and orphans in the city of Mosul. The festival witnessed a wide turnout from various groups from inside and outside the University of Mosul.
