Training course “field work methodology and modelling methods”
Under the auspices of the president of mosul university, prof. Dr. Kossay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmady, and under the supervision of the dean of the college of science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taii, the department of geology and continuing education courses held a training course entitled ((methodology of field work and modelling methods),) and from 29 – 30 march 2022, dr. Rafii Ibrahim Abdullah, Dr. Rabie Khalaf Zanad, Dr. Falah abdul Mohammed and Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Haq khamis, and on the hall of science department the course included an explanation of the uses of field work equipment and the definition of geologists that in carrying out any geological field work, important things and equipment must be prepared , including geological hammer, compass, lens, board, etc.), as well as geological and gemorological maps of the working area and some safety equipment and the nature of clothing, shoes and helmets, in addition to taking into account the dangers facing the geologist in the field and how to avoid them.The course was attended by Dr. Zeid Abdul Wahab Malik, head of geology and a number of lecturers from the department.
