With the support of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Kossay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmady, and under the direct supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the fieldwork course for students of the fourth stage began in the Department of Geology in our college, where the work of the first day was launched on June 21 2022 and included conducting an exploratory tour of Baikher anticline in Dohuk governorate and distributing students to groups and tracks, in addition to explaining and training students on the method of field work, how to survey the area geologically and describing layers and formations.As for the work of the second day, it was dated today, June 22, 2022, and it specialized in training students to determine the location on the map, use the compass, describe the sedimentary layers and successions, and describe the structural manifestations such as commas, their types and fractures.The field work course for students is supervised by a number of the department’s teachers, which are:Dr. Falah Abdel-Mamari, Dr. Mahfouz Abdullah, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Haq Al-Sumaidaie, Dr. Saddam IssaDr. Radwan Al-Atrushi, Mr. Izzat Ibrahim Al-Fandi, Mrs. Alaa Mahmoud Al-Wazzan.We wish our dear students good luck.
