In the implementation of the directives of the Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of Biology in our college organized a scientific visit for third-stage students to the Seed Testing and Certification Department on Tuesday, 20th of December 2022, within the subjects of mycology, ecology and pathological analyses, during which several Department teaching accompanied them.During the visit, the students toured several laboratories, including the germination laboratory, the health status laboratory, the purity and moisture laboratory, and the plant genetic resources laboratory. This visit comes with the aim of introducing the students to the mechanism of work within the department by examining, evaluating and controlling the quality of locally produced and imported seeds, and evaluating fungal, bacterial and insect infections in them, as well as the plant populations in Iraq and their environment and the endangered species thereof.
