Under the auspices of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and in the presence of the Assistant to the President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mounir Salem Taha, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of Chemistry in our college held a scientific symposium entitled “The Role of Polymer Chemistry and Sustainable Energy in Community Service” on the morning of Thursday, the 12th of January, 2023, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Farouk Al-Omari, attended by members of the College Council, a number of academic and military personalities, teaching staff, and college students.The symposium aimed to discuss the use of polymers in industrial production and to replace many traditional raw materials with polymeric materials with advanced characteristics that can be modified to become either good electrical conductors or regulate the process of transporting and releasing drugs within the living body or to store water and other liquids for use in irrigating crops.
