PhD Dissertation Defense in the Department of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry, College of Science, University of Mosul, held a PhD dissertation defense titled “Modern Strategies for the Synthesis and Characterization of Four-Membered Heterocyclic Compounds” on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
The research, presented by Jasim Abdulrazzaq Al-Jubouri, focused on synthesizing new heterocyclic compounds using thioester derivatives and evaluating their effects on barley root growth. The results showed potential applications as plant growth regulators.
The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Omar Adel Sharif, along with faculty members and postgraduate students. The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Shaker Mahmoud Saeed Mustafa and included distinguished academic members.
