๐Ÿ”ฌ New Scientific Contribution Registered in NCBI โ€“ GenBank ๐Ÿ“ Department of Biology โ€“ College of Science โ€“ University of Mosul

In every microscopic sample lies a scientific story waiting to be told, and in every laboratory experiment, an opportunity to write a new chapter of knowledge.

As part of the ongoing research momentum within the Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Mosul, a new scientific achievement has been recorded, enriching the collegeโ€™s growing legacy of academic excellence.
This achievement involved the registration of ten new bacterial strains of Staphylococcus aureus in the international NCBI โ€“ GenBank database.

The strains were identified and submitted by Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College, and Masterโ€™s student Riyadh Matkof, after being isolated from various clinical samples collected in the city of Mosul.
The strains are now officially catalogued under the accession numbers PV173744 โ€“ PV173753, marking a significant contribution that reflects both meticulous laboratory work and a commitment to documenting local microbial diversity in global databases.

This accomplishment represents an important step in advancing research in medical microbiology and opens new doors for Iraqi researchers to actively contribute to the global scientific community.

๐Ÿงฌ Science is not born from a voidโ€”it emerges from inspired minds, driven by passion and refined through rigorous experimentation, until it blossoms into achievements worthy of recognition.
