Workshop on “The Personal Civilizational Project” Aims to Enhance Students’ Awareness of Conscious Planning and Future Building

Under the generous patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the College of Science – University of Mosul organized a training workshop entitled:
“The Personal Civilizational Project”,
as a continuation of a previous session titled “The Strategic Personal Plan.” The workshop was delivered by certified international trainer Mr. Abdulmalik Salem Al-Huwair and attended by a number of students and individuals interested in personal development and career planning.

The workshop aimed to establish the concept of a “civilizational project” as a comprehensive framework that helps individuals build their future based on a system of values and thoughtful planning across various life domains—professional, health, academic, social, and family.

Key topics included the self-evaluation triad (Desire – Opportunity – Capability), the formulation of strategic and actionable goals, and the translation of these goals into practical steps within realistic timeframes.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of crafting a well-rounded personal vision and reinforcing core values such as justice, discipline, humanity, and creativity to guide individuals in making a positive impact in society.

The session concluded with hands-on exercises focused on converting goals into achievable daily tasks, contributing to the development of an effective personal civilizational project.

This workshop is part of a series of specialized programs designed to equip College of Science students with conscious planning tools and to open broader horizons for excellence, innovation, and community service.
