Jerjes Shaya, a student from the School of Gifted Students in Mosul, made a distinguished scientific appearance as part of the Iraqi delegation participating in the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad held in the United Arab Emirates. The event saw the participation of students from over 90 countries worldwide, where Jerjes achieved outstanding and positive results that added to Iraq’s track record in international scientific forums.
His participation, alongside a select group of Iraqi students, reflects the advanced academic level reached by Iraq’s youth and highlights the excellence of gifted schools, especially in the city of Mosul.
In recognition of this achievement, the College of Science – University of Mosul received the student with great appreciation. Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College, praised this accomplishment and commended the tireless efforts of educators in nurturing talented students. She emphasized that supporting such promising minds is a cornerstone in building a prosperous scientific future.
