As part of the seminar series at the College of Science, Department of Biology, several postgraduate students delivered their research presentations on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the hall of Dr. Hanaa Saeed Al-Saleh (may she rest in peace), in the presence of faculty members and students of the department.

• M.Sc. student Meshhed Mohammed Ali presented his thesis entitled:
  “Determination of the Expression Level of the CYC-B Gene Responsible for Lycopene Pigment Formation in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) and Its Relation to rol Genes”
  Supervised by Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdulhadi Mohammed.

• Ph.D. student Ali Ahmed Jassim presented his dissertation entitled:
  “A Taxonomic Study of Biodiversity in the Hamidat and Hammam Al-Alil Regions in Nineveh Province”
  Supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Fathi Abdullah Mandil.

• M.Sc. student Zahraa Younis Saleh presented her thesis entitled:
  “Genetic Causes of Genital Malformations in Some Children in Mosul City”
  Supervised by Dr. Mowafaq Khalil Hassan.

These seminars reflect the department’s commitment to enhancing the scientific and research skills of its postgraduate students.
