The Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Mosul, discussed on Monday, August 25, 2025, the master’s thesis titled:
“Genetic Diagnosis of Staphylococcus aureus (VRSA and MRSA) Isolated from Different Clinical Samples”,
presented by the graduate student Riyadh Maktoof Jasim from the Microbiology branch, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College. The discussion was attended by the Head of the Department along with several faculty members.

The thesis highlighted the genetic mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus aureus and its clinical implications.
