Secondary wind turbines land the native tributaries decorate the Department of new and renewable energies in our college.

In order to embody the principle of continuous scientific cooperation between the University of Mosul and the Directorate of Nineveh education, and to strengthen international scientific partnerships within the (Solaware) project, and within the approach drawn by the University and based on the guidance of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, Under the guidance of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the head of the Department of new and renewable energies, assistant prof. Dr. Ahmed Mounir Suhail, the Department of new and renewable energies received on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 a group of female students and staff of the Rafidain Land National Academy for girls In a scientific visit aimed at enhancing scientific and applied awareness in the field of renewable energies.

The visit began with a brief introductory presentation about the department, its objectives, scientific and research programs, and the types of renewable energies and their characteristics, with an explanation of the practical applications of each type in the production of clean and sustainable energy.

This was followed by a field tour of the Department’s scientific laboratories, where the students were briefed on the most prominent devices and experiments conducted in these laboratories and their role in the development of environmentally friendly electric energy production methods. The competent teaching staff provided practical explanations on how to operate the devices and use them in Applied Research.

We wish continued excellence to our hardworking students, and the constant giving of our scientific departments to serve science and for the benefit of future generations.
