Due to the importance of their role in health care, the College of Sciences celebrates the World Day of medical physics

Under the patronage of the blessing of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and the supervision and presence of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the head of the Department of medical physics, teacher Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Mohammed Fakhri, and within its scientific activities and interest in highlighting the disciplines of Modern Sciences, the College of science organized Wednesday, November 5, 2025 in celebration of the International Day of Medical Physics in the presence of a number of teaching staff and students of the Department.
The ceremony included welcoming speeches and scientific lectures on the role of Medical Physics in serving the community and the health sector, the importance of this specialty in the development of modern diagnostic and therapeutic devices, as well as reviewing the most prominent achievements of medical physicists and their contributions to raising the level of health care.
At the end of the event, the Deanship of the faculty confirmed its keenness to support scientific activities that contribute to spreading awareness of the importance of Applied Sciences and appreciating the efforts of medical physicists.

We wish the students of the department the time to apply and be creative in their specialty and benefit from the science they have learned in it.
