A workshop at the College of science on the dangers of drugs coinciding with the Iraqi week to combat them
Under the patronage of the blessing of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and the supervision of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the head of the Department of Medical Physics, Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Mohammed Fakhri, the Department of medical physics organized a workshop entitled: (Drugs and their health and social effects) on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the seminar hall in the Department.
The workshop was presented by the head of the department, Dr. Mahmoud Fakhri, with the participation of M. Raghad Riad Shafiq, in the presence of a number of department teachers. The interlocutors discussed the risks of drugs on the health of the individual and society, and the social and economic effects they cause, in addition to clarifying the factors that contribute to their spread and ways to reduce and prevent this phenomenon.
