A qualitative awareness activity entitled ” Drugs and their impact on Community Security “

Under the patronage and guidance of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiam Adel Ibrahim, the women’s Affairs Committee at the College of science organized a qualitative awareness activity within the week of the national anti-drug campaign, entitled: “Drugs and their impact on Community Security”.
This activity was carried out in cooperation with the university presidency/ Department of studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, the women’s Affairs Unit at the university presidency, and the student activities unit at the College of Science, in line with the third national plan for women, security and peace / pillar of protection and Prevention.
The event was held at the deanship and departments of the College of Science and the scientific forum of Mosul University, at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, 18/11/2025, and included the distribution of awareness brochures aimed at enhancing awareness of the dangers of drugs and their health, social and security effects.
The importance of this activity stems from its role in guiding students towards adopting preventive behaviors, supporting a safe university environment capable of meeting contemporary societal challenges, as well as its contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially with regard to good health and decent work.
With this, the University of Mosul confirms its continued performance of its enlightenment mission, seeking to protect society and enhance its stability, and continuing to instill awareness and build a generation capable of carrying the flag of Science and responsibility towards a safer and more prosperous tomorrow.
