A workshop at the College of science on the dangers of drugs coincided with the Iraqi week to combat them
Under the patronage of the blessing of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and the supervision of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up and participation of the head of the Department of new and renewable energies, assistant prof. Dr. Ahmed Munir, and within the continuing education programs, the Department of new and renewable energies organized a workshop entitled (How to protect your university future from the scourge of drugs for a sustainable future), on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Ibn Sina Hall in the Department, delivered by L. Maimuna Khalid Qasim, attended by a number of students and teachers of the Department.
The workshop discussed the risks of drugs on the health of the individual and society, and the social and economic effects they cause, in addition to clarifying the factors that contribute to their spread and ways to reduce and prevent this phenomenon.
Our wishes are to teach full-time in a way that serves the community and reduces the risks of addiction in it.
