Within the framework of scientific cooperation between the College of Science and the College of physical education and sports sciences, and at the official invitation of the latter and in coordination with the women’s Affairs Unit at the presidency of the University, prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Jabbar Hussein, a lecturer in the Department of life sciences at the College of Science, presented a workshop entitled “The Importance of immunity for women” at the College of physical education and Sports Sciences on Monday, November 24, 2025.

The workshop dealt with clarifying the vital role of the immune system in women, indicating the most important functional differences between it and the immune system in men, in addition to reviewing the mechanisms of strengthening immunity and the scientific methods used to maintain its efficiency, in line with the latest medical data.

The workshop was attended by the course of the Department of sports sciences and a selection of college professors, who expressed their appreciation for the valuable scientific content, praising the cooperation efforts between the two colleges and its role in promoting health awareness and community service.
