Held at the Department of Biology Sciences on Wednesday morning 26 / 11 / 2025 a scientific seminar for graduate students, in the Hall of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Haj Qasem, and in the presence of a number of department teachers and graduate students.

The presentation included a discussion of two research projects for Master’s students, where the student Qasim Ibrahim Abdi presented his thesis tagged:

(Inhibition of antibiotic resistance mechanisms in bacteria isolated from skin infections)

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohsen Ayoub Issa, reviewed the most important results and research steps followed in his study related to bacterial resistance to antibiotics.

The student Heba Abdulkader al-Hayali also presented her seminar entitled:

‏(Immunological characteristics of the development of colon cancer in the Mosul city)

Under the supervision of Assistant L. Dr. Rogan Ghanem Al-Allaf, dealt with the immunological aspects associated with the development of colon cancer in the city of Mosul and its role in diagnosing the disease and following up its progress.

The event witnessed extensive scientific discussions that enriched the topics raised, while praising the students ‘ efforts in carrying out research that serves the scientific and medical side of society.
