College of Science

Under the guidance of the president of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel al-Taie, the Department of Chemistry at the College of science organized the reception of students of the first stage of the morning study, in the presence of the Department’s rapporteur, assistant prof. Dr. Basma Abdul Hadi, and the Guidance Committee in the Department.

The event aimed to introduce students to the new university environment and integrate them into its academic atmosphere, while providing the necessary guidance to launch their scientific career successfully.

The ceremony began with an official speech by the Department’s rapporteur, during which she welcomed the new students and stressed the importance of commitment to diligence, diligence and perseverance, pointing to the pivotal role of chemistry in the advancement of Science and community service.

After that, the Guidance Committee provided a comprehensive explanation of the curricula, the importance of chemical laboratories, in addition to introducing the university regulations and instructions that students must adhere to to ensure the optimal functioning of the educational process.

During the event, a representative of the first stage students was elected, in order to enhance effective communication between students and the department administration, and to allow them to contribute to the activities and proposals related to their stage of study.

In conclusion, we wish our dear students in the Department of Chemistry a successful academic year in their scientific journey within this ancient academic edifice.
