The College of science at the University of Mosul organizes an event on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day
Under the patronage of the president of the University of Mosul, professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of science, professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Science, in cooperation with the student activities unit and a number of teachers of the Department of Biology sciences and the women’s Affairs Unit at the university presidency, organized an event on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, at the student center of the University of Mosul on Tuesday morning, December 9, 2025.
The event aimed to establish a culture of volunteer work and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit among students and associates, and included providing free medical examinations for attendees, including:
– Examination of blood totals
– Checking blood sugar
– Blood pressure check
The event also included brief awareness lectures on the importance of volunteer work and its role in supporting society, and highlighting the impact of student initiatives in health, environmental and service aspects.
