On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Chemistry Department of the College of Sciences discussed the master’s thesis submitted by the student (Iman Zahir Mohammed QADIR) and tagged “preparation of carbon nanocarbons in the process of separation of some heavy elements from liquid forms”, in the presence of the dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the administrative and Scientific Assistants of the Dean, the head of the Chemistry Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Ahmed my best college teacher.
The discussion committee consisted of Mr. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Sattar Ibrahim Yahya (chairman) and Assistant Prof. Noor Hazem Mohammed (member) and L. Dr. Alaa Hussein Jalil (member) and Assistant Prof Omar Adel Sharif Zeidan (member and supervisor).
The dissertation dealt with the preparation and diagnosis of three carbon nanocomposites and their use in studying the efficiency of the prepared nanocomposites in adsorbing some heavy elements (lead, chromium) from liquid models.
