In accordance with the directives of the president of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Ibrahim, and under the supervision and guidance of the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up and presence of the head of the Department of New and Renewable Energies, assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Munir Suhail, the Department of new energies received and renewed on Thursday, December 11, 2025, a ministerial committee consisting of specialized professors from Baghdad University, Mustansiriya University and Basra University on a field visit aimed at reviewing the material and human capabilities available in the department, and studying Application for the creation of a master’s program in it. The ministerial committee conducted a comprehensive tour, which included scientific laboratories, classrooms, corridors of the department and its library, where it reviewed the infrastructure supporting the academic and research career. After completing the tour and seeing the available possibilities, the committee expressed its support for the opening of a master’s study in the Department.

It is noteworthy that the Department of new and Renewable Energies has qualified teaching capacities, precise specialties, solid scientific titles, as well as distinguished research and academic activities, which enhances the requirements for the development of the new program and contributes to upgrading the academic and research level at the Faculty of science.

The College of science appreciates the efforts of the Ministerial Committee and congratulates the Department of new and renewable energies with its cadres and students on this worthy achievement, asking God to make it a fruitful path for our students and our beloved University.
