College of Science

In keeping with the rapid scientific development witnessed by the world, under the auspices of the Office of the Iraqi prime minister, under the supervision of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research and in cooperation with the security media cell, the Ministry of Interior and the Popular Mobilization authority, and the University of Mosul represented by the president of the University, professor Dr. Wahid distinguished scientist Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, held at the University of Mosul (sustainable security forum) on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at the welcome of Dr. Farouk al-Omari Hall (May Allah have mercy on him) at the College of science to discuss ways to achieve security in its comprehensive concept (technical, community and national) in a continuous and evolvable way, depending on modern knowledge and technologies such as artificial intelligence, which is the technical arm of sustainable security, as the College of science does not always miss making a clear and obvious difference in scientific, technical and security aspects, including the use of artificial intelligence tool in all fields to make tangible differences in building and maintaining a sound and secure scientific community. Dr. Haider al-Saadi, advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister and chairman of the National Committee for awareness and Guidance, Dr. Fares Mahdi Alwan, Director General of Public Education, Dr. Khalil Al-Tayar, representative of the holy shrine of Husseiniya, Dr. Musa al-Mousawi, representative of the research and development department one of the commanders of the Joint Operations is Colonel Ali al-muhtarim.

The meeting began with the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of the Fatiha Surah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and verses of the wise memory, followed by an opening speech by the president of Mosul University, a speech by the representative of the research and Development Department, Dr. Musa al-Mousawi, and a lecture by the teacher from Ninawa University, engineer Harith al-Mufti the honorable Shafi’i.

And then a valuable seminar was held with the participation of each of the gentlemen: teaching at the Faculty of Political Science / University of Mosul Dr. Ali Agwan Al-esteemed and teaching at the Faculty of Political Science / University of Mosul Dr. Firas Elias Al-esteemed and teaching at the College of Political Science / University of Mosul Dr. Abdulkarim Zahir Al-esteemed and officer in the it was conducted by Mr. Mohamed Noufel, engineer from the Computer Center / University of Mosul, and concluded by honoring the participants.

In conclusion, achieving sustainable security is not achieved by technology alone, but by conscious minds, sober scientific research, and a real integration between man and technology.

We appreciate the efforts and presence of distinguished participants and dignitaries.. It is home to an enrichment flag and a pond.
