The scene of seminars for Master’s students at the College of Science-Department of chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the College of science witnessed the holding of seminars for Master’s students, which included the presentation of two scientific researches in the field of biochemistry, as follows:

Student: Hoda Anis Idris: master of Biochemistry, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Thikra Ali Alloush, entitled: “Evaluation of the role of pentraxin-3 in thyroid disorders” .

The study dealt with the evaluation of the Pentraxin-3 protein as a vital indicator of thyroid disorders, indicating its relationship with the levels of hormones, cytokines and oxidative stress, in addition to trying to isolate and purify it using various life techniques.

Student: Mohammed Muthanna Salem Abdul: master of Biochemistry, under the supervision of assistant professor Dr. Amal Taha Yassin, entitled: “Evaluation of the effectiveness of the enzyme prolyl hydroxylase and its relationship to some biochemical variables in patients with ulcerative colitis”

The aim of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of the enzyme prolyl hydroxylase and to study its relationship with some biochemical variables in patients, isolating and measuring it using ion exchange technology.

In conclusion, the of College science wishes its dear students continued scientific and academic progress.
