College of Science

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Biology Sciences, Professor Dr. Amjad Abdulhadi Mohammed, and the Head of the Department of New and Renewable Energies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Munir Suhail, the two departments received a delegation of male and female students on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Al-Fatih Turkmen Secondary School, as part of its scientific visit program aimed at enhancing students’ scientific and applied awareness.

The visit included a brief presentation on the specializations and scientific and research programs of the two departments, highlighting the fundamentals of renewable energy and its applications, as well as the importance of Biology sciences in serving health and the environment. It also included a field tour of the educational laboratories, during which students were introduced to the equipment, practical experiments, and research and applied work methods. The teaching staff provided simplified explanations that helped solidify scientific concepts and fostered students’ interest in modern scientific disciplines.

This visit comes as part of the College of Science’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with educational institutions, developing students’ skills, and encouraging them to pursue university studies in the fields of science and sustainable energy.
