On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, two seminars were held at the Department of chemistry, in the presence of a number of teachers and students of the Department.

Mr. Hussein Aziz Saeed studied organic chemistry under the supervision of: Prof. Dr. Shaima Khazal Younis al-Azzawi, titled:
Efficient and Environmental Strategies to Execute New Heterocyclic Compounds Acquire from Aza- Hydrazineyl Moiety.

The research included the preparation of new heterocyclic compounds derived from the alaza – hydrazinyl group based on one-step multicomponent reactions and the study of molecular docking of active compounds from them.

Master’s student Hajer Adnan Osman majored in organic chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Saleh aweid Abboud, titled:
-⁠Synthesis of New Nitrogen-Containing Heterocyclic Compounds with Five- and Six-Membered Rings, Molecular Docking Study, and Evaluation of Their Biological Activity

The research is aimed at the preparation of new nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, the study of molecular docking and the assessment of their biological activity.

We wish our students the time of giving and creativity in their academic and research career and the permanent advancement of the educational process.
