Teaching honors from the College of Science – University of Mosul at a scientific event at the University of Baghdad

In the framework of supporting scientific competencies and enhancing academic cooperation between Iraqi universities, assistant professor Dr. Warqa said Qasim, teaching at the Department of Biology Sciences – College of Science – University of Mosul, participated in the scientific event held by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences / University of Baghdad under the slogan “Smart Agriculture for a more sustainable future”, by presenting two distinguished scientific researches, namely:

Synthesis of Green Silver Nanoparticles Using Turmeric Extracts and Their Antifungal Efficacy Against Plant Pathogenic Fungi

And

Bioactivity of Silver Nanoparticles Produced by the Aqueous Extract of Local Trichoderma longibrachiatum Isolates Against Some Types of MDR Bacteria.

This participation was the culmination of her solid scientific efforts, as she was honored with the scientific creativity medal in recognition of her active role and outstanding contribution to the success of the international scientific conference (the future of Agriculture and the challenges of modern technology) hosted by the University of Baghdad on 17/12/2025.

This honor is a confirmation of the high scientific status of the teachers of the University of Mosul, and evidence of their qualitative contributions in supporting scientific research and promoting sustainable development paths, as well as their honorable representation of the University and the College in national scientific forums.

On this occasion, the Deanship of the College of Science and the chairmanship of the Department of Biology sciences extend their congratulations and appreciation to Dr. Warqa Saeed Qasem, wishing her continued giving and scientific excellence to serve the academic and research career.

We wish her further successes and scientific achievements.
