The star of the College of Science shines as we have always known him to in the sky of creativity.

In a new achievement added to its record of scientific excellence, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of the Iraqi University Ranking (IRU), a process consistently undertaken by the Quality Assurance Department within the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority.

With the support of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the esteemed Vice Deans for Administrative and Scientific Affairs and the esteemed Heads of Departments, and the dedicated team of the Quality Assurance Division at the Dean’s Office, led by Dr. Mahmoud Abdulhaq, our college’s departments have risen to advanced rankings among their counterparts in other science colleges at Iraqi universities, as follows:

– Department of Biology Sciences / Ranked First.

– Physics Department / Ranked First.

– Geology and Petroleum Sciences Department / Ranked First.

– Chemistry Department / Ranked Second.

– Medical Physics Department / Ranked Second among Medical Physics departments.

The College of Science, represented by the Dean, extends its praise and appreciation to the college and administrative staff in recognition of their dedicated efforts, and to our students for their commitment to academic and research excellence, which has led to this advanced scientific achievement. We hope for and support continued progress, success, and advancement to all the ranks our college deserves and is worthy of, solidifying its position at the forefront of reputable academic institutions.
