In implementation of the directives of the respected Mrs. Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taii, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Geology, the students of the second stage conducted a field scientific trip on Thursday morning, corresponding to the tenth of March, to Baikher anticline in Dohuk governorate, accompanied by a group of the department’s lecturers:Dr. Rafi Ibrahim Al-Hamdani, d. Ahmed Nazir, Dr. Saddam Issa Khatouni, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Haq Al-Sumaidaie and Dr. Radwan Al-Atrushi.During the trip, the students were acquainted with the different types of sedimentary rocks, the ways to distinguish them, the status of the geological structures of the Baikher anticline, and the geological ages of the formations that appear in the area.We wish our dear students good luck
