Vision:
To make diligent efforts in applying the latest scientific curricula that combine fundamental principles with continuous development to serve the community and excel in disseminating knowledge in the fields of life sciences (Botany, Zoology, and Microbiology). This is aimed at achieving high levels of performance for both faculty members and students.
Mission:
The mission of the department involves updating and disseminating information in various fields of life sciences (Botany, Zoology, and Microbiology), making efforts to refine students’ talents, and enhancing their capabilities to contribute to the development and progress of society. The department also aims to build graduates who possess professional skills, enabling them to have good opportunities locally and globally.
Goals:
- Comprehensive Study of Biological Sciences
To study biological sciences comprehensively, including their theoretical, scientific, and practical applications in society. - Training Qualified Scientific Personnel
To prepare scientific cadres at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to work in medical, health, agricultural, food, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and biological fields. - Equipping Students with Scientific Techniques
To equip students with scientific techniques for using equipment and devices that are applicable to both their theoretical and practical studies. - Providing Academic and Applied Knowledge
To provide students with academic and applied knowledge of biological sciences in various directions and specialties. - Supporting National and Private Sector Institutions
To supply public institutions and the mixed and private sectors (medical, industrial, and laboratory institutions) with specialized personnel at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels to work in this field. - Conducting Research and Keeping Up with Scientific Developments
