Vision
To utilize the sciences of physics, chemistry, and computer science to study biological phenomena, benefit from them, and solve biological issues at various levels, studying life in its diversity and complexities. To prepare specialized staff in this field, including faculty members and graduates, by using the latest scientific curricula, contributing to community service.

Mission
To prepare qualified scientific staff in the field of biological physics, combining knowledge and specialization in both life sciences and physics, capable of utilizing this knowledge academically and practically to serve society and its scientific and service institutions.

Objectives

  • To prepare specialized staff in modern fields of life sciences and physics, using the latest scientific curricula at a distinguished level, competing with corresponding departments at global universities, while continuously updating the curricula to keep up with scientific progress.
  • To enrich students and provide them with a scientific background in various fields of biological physics from a theoretical perspective, encouraging them to apply this knowledge practically, increasing their experience and skills, making them more effective in serving society.
  • To encourage scientific research in the department’s various specializations, whether by faculty members or students, especially applied research that can be beneficial to community institutions and sectors.
