A teaching from the College of science participates in the course (chemical safety in science laboratories … effective strategies to reduce risks)

In accordance with the directives of the president of the University of Mosul, professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Ibrahim, and under the supervision and guidance of the dean of the College of science, professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the head of the Criminal Evidence Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Haitham Luqman Shahab, and within the continuing education programs, participated teaching in the Department of Forensic Evidence at our college, Dr. Reem Nawaf Hamdoun taught in the course (chemical safety in science laboratories … Effective strategies to reduce risks), held at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences – Department of environmental technologies and in cooperation with the presidency of Mosul University / division of chemical, biological and radiological safety and security, for the period 7-11 December 2025, it was held by a number of teachers of Mosul University, attended by a number of teachers and graduate students.
The course dealt with several effective strategies to reduce risks, and included:
First day: effective strategies to enhance chemical safety and reduce risks in laboratories and methods of chemical waste treatment.
The second day: laboratory hazards in the faculties of Science and safety in chemistry laboratories.
Day three: biological safety in science laboratories.
Day four: radiation safety in science laboratories.
The fifth day: included a test of the course.
Our wishes are for our teaching to be full-time and creative in order to enrich science and benefit it in a way that preserves life, protects society and provides safe ways to deal with risks.
