The Second Scientific International Conference for Biology and Pure Sciences was held in the period between the 19th and 20th of October 2022 in the Grand Theater Hall of the University of Mosul.

The number of papers participating in the conference was (290) papers from (68) universities and research centres belonging to (15) Arab and foreign countries, of which (152) papers were accepted and published in ten journals (five of which are classified within the Scopus database), (two within the Clarivate database), and (three of which are local).

The conference aimed to:

1- scientific communication and acquaintance between researchers from different universities and countries.

2- Identifying issues and the common research interests of researchers in different countries.

3- Directing graduate students’ research to serve developmental and applied issues.

4- Providing the opportunity for researchers to cooperate to conduct joint research that addresses challenges and problems and opens opportunities for scientific and technological exchange.

5- Working to consolidate institutional ties and strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors on the one hand with the Higher education institutions on the other hand.
