College of Science

The Department of Chemistry was established in 1963-1964 and is the oldest department of the College of Science.The first batch of this department graduated in the academic year 1967. The department has been active since its beginning in the field of scientific research. A number of researchers have published many papers in scientific journals. The MSc study was launched in 1967-1968. The doctoral study started in the academic year 1985-1986. The evening study was opened in the academic year 2021-2022, during which the department received the first batch of applicants successfully. However, the number of students increased in the academic year 2022-2023 by up to 120 students.
