Combating Administrative Corruption in a Training Course at the College of Archaeology

As part of the College of Archaeology’s activities and within the framework of combating corruption, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, in cooperation with the College’s Committee for Combating Financial and Administrative Corruption, held a two-day training course on Sunday and Monday, April 19-20, 2026, in the Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf Hall. The course addressed the following topics:

A lecture on “Administrative and Financial Corruption: Concept, Causes, and Effects,” delivered by Dr. Ayad Dhunoun Younis, Assistant Dean of the College for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

A lecture on “The Role of Financial Control in Reducing Corruption,” delivered by Mr. Ahmed Khalil Majeed, Head of the Internal Audit and Control Division.

Both lectures provided introductory information on the manifestations of corruption from multiple perspectives: financial, administrative, and legal. The target audience for this course was the staff and faculty of the College of Archaeology.
