A Workshop on Scopus Publishing Methods
The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Archaeology held a workshop titled: (The Scopus Publishing Methods), presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nektel Muayad Eidan, a faculty member in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics. This workshop is part of the college’s efforts to enhance scientific research skills and develop the academic capabilities of researchers and faculty members, contributing to raising the scientific and research standards. Held on Monday, May 25, 2026, the workshop covered an introduction to the Scopus database, how to select reputable journals, the requirements for writing scientific research, the submission and peer-review process, Q1-Q4 rankings, avoiding predatory journals, and verification mechanisms. The workshop also aimed to develop the skills of researchers and graduate students in rigorous academic publishing and to improve the quality of scientific output according to international standards.
