Virtual Library
The virtual library was established in 2006 and was funded by the American side. The main reason for its establishment was the scarcity of paper resources at that time. Iraq officially took over the library from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2011, and its funding became 100% Iraqi. The electronic library across Iraq is managed by the Danish company, Simpertool.
As for the supporter of the virtual library, the American institution EBSCO is the virtual library’s supporter. It provides download links for resources from international publishing houses, in agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which is responsible for the financial side and funding of the project.
The subscribers to the virtual library are members of the College of Archeology and postgraduate students.
