A lecturer from the department of sociology delivered an awareness-raising and informative lecture
On March 7, 2023, Bassima Faris Al-Saraj (an assistant professor at the department of sociology, University of Mosul) gave an awareness-raising and informative lecture entitled “Harms related to smoking, hookah, and electronic cigarettes and their health, social, and psychiatric effects on individual, family, and society”. The lecture was delivered to several students of the student hostel at the University of Mosul/Al-Faruq Compound. Dr. al-Saraj revealed in her lecture the bad effects of smoking, hookah, and electronic cigarettes on individuals and society. Dr. al-Saraj recommended getting rid of this health problem because it is a danger to the future of society.
