A Diploma’s Thesis at the Department of Sociology on “Cybercrimes and Their Reflections on Community Security: A Field Study in the City of Mosul”

The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, examined a higher diploma thesis on (Cybercrimes and Their Reflections on Community Security: A Field Study in the City of Mosul) on Sunday, September 10, 2023. The examination was attended by teachers and postgraduates.

The thesis, presented by Ziad Saleh Humadi to the Department of Sociology, dealt with cybercrimes that have recently appeared in the Iraqi community and affected passively the stability of the community’s security in Mosul.

The researcher made clear what cybercrimes are and clarified their reflections on individuals, the community, state institutions, and private companies in the city of Mosul. He recommended enacting laws regarding these kinds of crimes to limit their passive effects because the previous laws were not proportional to the dangers of these crimes.
