Master’s Thesis on Contemporary Transformations in Arab Gulf States, with Kuwait as a Model

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the Department of History at the College of Arts discussed a master’s thesis titled “Political, Economic, and Social Transformations of Contemporary Arab Gulf States in Al-Arabi Magazine 1990-1995: Kuwait as a Model.” The discussion was attended by Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, the Dean of the College, Dr. Mahmoud Salih Saeed, Head of the Department, and several faculty members.

The thesis, presented by Arwa Falih Elias Mahmoud, a student in the History Department, delved into the political, economic, and social changes experienced by contemporary Arab Gulf states, as reflected in Al-Arabi Magazine.

This study aims to examine the modern and contemporary history of Kuwait through the perspective of Al-Arabi Magazine.
