The study, presented by Ahmed Hassan Nasser, aimed to identify the role of social custom and its impact on the increase or decrease in crime rates associated with the value of taking revenge that is prevalent in a number of societies with tribal values. The study also deals with the psychological effects and social problems that result from this crime, which is punishable by the Iraqi Penal Code, particularly on the family and society in general, such as tribal raids, payment of blood money, tribal separation, and resolving disputes resulting from this crime away from the authority of the law, which increases the likelihood of chaos and the fall of many victims.
