College of Arts Organizes Poetry Festival Titled “Mosuli-Inspired Poems” at the University of Mosul

The College of Arts at the University of Mosul organized a poetry festival titled “Mosuli-Inspired Poems” on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the Grand Theater Hall. The event celebrated the beauty of words and the spirit of literature, emphasizing the role of poetry in fostering cultural and intellectual exchange among peoples.
The festival was attended by Qatari poet Nasser Al-Obeir, whose poems added a distinctive touch to the event and received wide acclaim from the audience.
Nasser Al-Obeir is considered one of the most prominent contemporary Qatari poets, known for his emotional style that reflects love for homeland and cultural identity.
Professor Dr. Hatim Fahd Hanno, Dean of the College of Arts, honored the Qatari poet with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his active participation and contribution to enriching the event.
The college administration affirmed that organizing this festival aligns with its ongoing commitment to supporting cultural activities and strengthening literary connections with the Arab world.
