Doctoral Dissertation Explores Globalization’s Impact on the Educational Process

The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts held a defense for a doctoral dissertation examining the multifaceted role of globalization within the educational process, featuring a field study conducted in the city of Mosul. The event took place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, and was attended in part by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Hano, the Head of the Department, Dr. Firas Abbas Fadil, and a number of the college’s faculty members.
The study, presented by doctoral candidate Ghazwan Nadhim Mohammed Al-Akeeli from the Department of Sociology, delved into understanding the extent of globalization’s influence on the educational sphere.
The research aimed to elucidate the impact of globalization across key educational, economic, social, and political dimensions.
