In a concerted effort to foster academic collaboration and facilitate the exchange of expertise, Assistant Professor Dr. Wasan Sami Sa’adallah, Head of the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts, undertook an official visit to the Department of Information at Al-Mustansiriya University on Monday, May 26, 2025. Discussions during this visit focused on strategies for updating and developing current curricula to align with the evolving demands of the job market. Both parties also explored the feasibility of organizing joint training courses for students and faculty, in addition to planning collaborative scientific conferences and workshops. These initiatives aim to provide a robust platform for researchers and academics to present their findings and exchange ideas, thereby advancing scientific research and promoting the dissemination of specialized knowledge.

The following day, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Head of the Department visited the Iraqi Academy of Sciences to discuss frameworks for academic and scientific cooperation. The meeting addressed methods for enhancing joint work in areas such as digital archiving, curriculum modernization, and the organization of scientific events. Both entities expressed a strong willingness to sign a cooperation agreement encompassing joint research and training activities.

These visits underscore the Information Department at the College of Arts’ commitment to strengthening academic ties and engaging with scientific and research institutions across Iraq.
